There are plenty of restaurants, parks and a variety of things to do in and around the immediate area. Only a 25 minute car ride to many of the beautiful Jersey Shore beaches and approximately 60 miles to New York City, Atlantic City and Philadelphia. The Freehold Raceway Mall is a favorite place to visit amongst both locals and out-of-town visitors. Freehold also features Iplay America, a popular entertainment venue for both children & adults and Six Flags Great Adventure located in Jackson, NJ is only a short drive from the Freehold area.
According to GreatSchools.org, Freehold Township offers some of the most highly rated public schools. Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend Freehold Township High School, which is part of The Freehold Regional High School District. The Freehold Regional High School District also serves students from Colts Neck Township, Englishtown, Farmingdale, Howell, Freehold Borough, Manalapan and Marlboro Townships. Students from Freehold can apply to participate in one of the Freehold Regional Learning Center Magnet programs within these six schools.
