Welcome To Chestnut Estates
If you are considering moving to Freehold, New Jersey, you’ll want to learn more about this development and what makes it so desirable and fabulous. Chestnut Estates is a prestigious development built by Toll Brothers, one of the most respected builders in our area. Toll Brothers is known for their distinctive architecture and luxury homes, and there are not many Toll Brothers developments in our area.
Chestnut Estates is one of the few. It’s located in Freehold Township, and more specifically, in East Freehold, which borders Marlboro and Colts Neck. Freehold Township is part of Monmouth County, which is considered to be in the central part of New Jersey. It’s about an hour south of New York City and only 20 to 30 minutes from several of the beautiful beaches.
A Prime Location
One of the reasons that Chestnut Estates is so desirable is because it’s located in the east section of Freehold. This gives you easy access to Route 18, which is the road that will take you to the Garden State Parkway. So if you’re traveling up north or to New York City, you can often bypass the traffic on Route 9 and make your commute much quicker.
The Chestnut Estates development is also located very close to the Henry Hudson Trail, which is a 24-mile paved trail where locals love to go walking, running, and biking. From Chestnut Estates, you can access the trail very easily. Also, Freehold Borough is only a five-minute car ride from the development.
The borough offers wonderful restaurants, specialty shops, bars, and loads of entertainment throughout the year. So if you are lucky enough to live in Chestnut Estates, its location makes it ideal for so many reasons.
Home Options And Education
There are only 60 homes or so in the development, built in the late 90s. The colonial-style homes offer four to six bedrooms, basements, and two to three-car garages. If you drive through the development, you’re going to notice that the lot sizes are spacious and that the neighborhood is very well maintained throughout.
Children who live in Chestnut Estates are zoned for J. J. Catena Elementary School, Dwight Eisenhower Middle School, and the Freehold Borough High School. Freehold Borough High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District, attending to children in 9th through 12th grades. It’s the largest regional high school district in the state of New Jersey.
The district includes six high schools: Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Marlboro, Manalapan, Colts Neck, and Howell. Students have the opportunity to pursue their interests and passions in many ways, with 14 different magnet programs that the district offers. The magnet programs are four-year courses of study, and many of the students go on to pursue higher education—including some of the most prestigious colleges in the nation.
Housing Prices
Now that you know a little bit about Chestnut Estates and what it’s like to live there, you may be wondering what you get for your money. Within the past year, only two homes within the development were sold. One sold for $850,000 and the other for $880,000. As you can expect, when a home goes on the market in Chestnut Estates, it tends to sell very quickly.
