November 25, 2024 by Cailin Butler Leave a Comment

Are you looking for a new place to call home in Manalapan Township? A place not only in a great neighborhood but also reasonably priced? If so, stick around because the Yorketown neighborhood is what I will show you today.

Yorketown Neighborhood Tour

Why Choose the Yorketown neighborhood?

The Yorketown neighborhood in northern Manalapan offers easy access to Route 9. The development’s location is fantastic for numerous reasons. It provides easy access to New York City for commuting. You can pick up the bus nearby that takes you directly to Port Authority.

It is also near Gordon’s Corner Road, where you will find shopping plazas with a Dunkin’ Donuts, CVS, Jersey Strong fitness center, a deli, a pizzeria, and more. Moving here, you are truly in the heart of town and only a few miles from the newly opened recreation center. The rec offers various facilities, including basketball, football, and soccer fields, a playground, basketball and tennis courts, running and walking trails, and a splash pad. This is where the high school football games are held, the summer recreational camp is hosted, and other events throughout the year.

A Snapshot of the Homes in Yorketown Neighborhood

The homes in the Yorketown neighborhood were built in the mid to late 1960s and are all single-family homes. There are various styles of homes, such as colonial, split-level, ranches, and bi-level. Most homes offer between 3 to 5 bedrooms, a few of them offer basements, and all have either 1 or 2-car garages. As you can see, as we look around the neighborhood, they are all situated on nicely sized lots and offer plenty of space for outdoor activities and amenities.

All utilities in the development are public, and here in the township, your weekly trash removal is included in your property taxes. Aside from its desirable location, people like living in the Yorketown development because it offers a small hometown feel. If you drive by, you will likely see kids outside playing, neighbors talking, or walking their dogs. It’s a popular community with a safe and welcoming environment.

Top-Rated Schools

Another reason homeowners like living here is for the top-rated school system. Children living in the development will attend Clark Mills for elementary school, Pine Brook for sixth grade, Manalapan Englishtown for middle school, and Manalapan Township High School. The Manalapan High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District and comprises six schools: Manalapan, Freehold High School, Freehold Township, Marlboro, Howell, and Colts Neck. This highly rated public school system allows children in grades nine through twelve to apply for specialized magnet and international programs.

Yorketown Neighborhood Home Prices and Property Taxes

Okay, now that you know a little about the Yorketown neighborhood, lets talk about prices and what you can expect to pay. Home prices can vary quite a bit in this neighborhood depending upon the number of bedrooms, baths, the square footage, and if the home has updates or upgrades. Larger-sized homes with updates throughout sell anywhere from about $750,000 to about $900,000.
