Students from Marlboro Township can apply to participate in one of the Freehold Regional Learning Center Magnet programs within these six schools.

For many years, Marlboro was called Marlborough. However, there is no documentation on when it was changed. According to history, the name Marlboro came from the discovery of marl on a farm in 1768.
