Are you considering relocating to Marlboro, New Jersey, and you’re looking for an upscale luxury neighborhood? In this episode of Monmouth Redefined, I’m going to take you along on a tour of one of the most prestigious and desirable communities right here in Marlboro: Lexington Estates. We’ll look at the location, amenities, and home options of this neighborhood so you know exactly what to expect.
Welcome To Lexington Estates
Lexington Estates is a prestigious development here in Marlboro, New Jersey. Marlboro is located on the western side of Monmouth County just about an hour from New York City and Philadelphia. Marlboro also has easy access to many of the areas beautiful beaches.
The Lexington Estates development is located very close to both Route 79 and Route 18 and allows for easy access to travel back and forth to New York City and for everything you need to make your life more convenient.
Home Options
The development includes approximately 135 single-family luxury homes with about 4,000 square feet or so. The homes were built between 2004 and 2005 by K. Hovnanian, which is a well-known builder both here in Marlboro and in Monmouth County. The homes are stately colonials consisting of either brick or stucco siding.
Most of the homes are located on at least an acre, but you will find some larger and smaller lot sizes as well. They all offer two to three-car garages and were built with basements. Many of the homeowners within the neighborhood have increased their values by adding in-ground pools and other outdoor spaces, which make it great for entertaining.
Some of the wonderful interior features of the homes include two-story foyers, nine-foot ceilings, fireplaces, and conservatories. Additionally, the models offer open floor plans.
A Convenient Location
There are numerous reasons that make Lexington Estates such a popular development within Marlboro. One of them is the location, as you are close to both Route 18 and Route 79. You have the option to take either the bus or the train to New York City. Additionally, traveling on Route 18 if you are going north is great. It allows you to bypass all the lights and traffic that you will find if you are traveling along Route 9.
The neighborhood is also close to Freehold, which makes it convenient to go into Downtown Freehold. There you’ll find so many great restaurants, and you are only about a 10 to 15-minute car ride to the Freehold Raceway Mall.
Education
Another reason residents love living here is the school system. Marlboro’s public schools are highly rated. If you live in Lexington Estates, your child will attend Marlboro Elementary School, Marlboro Middle School, and Marlboro High School.
Marlboro High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District. This is a highly rated public school district consisting of six townships: Marlboro, Manalapan, Freehold Township, Freehold Borough, Colts Neck, and Howell. The district offers students the opportunity to apply for several different magnet and international programs. Living here in the development, your child has the opportunity to receive a wonderful education.
Housing Prices
Lastly, residents love living in Lexington Estates due to the upscale environment and pride of ownership you will find throughout the community. It’s one of those developments here in Marlboro that you will just be proud to call home.
Now that you know about the development and what it offers, let’s talk about home prices in Lexington Estates. It’s such a sought-after development that homes don’t come on the market for sale very often. This past year, only two homes were sold: one for $1.3 million and one for $1.375 million.
Both homes were a little over 4,000 square feet and both featured four bedrooms, four and a half baths, and included finished basements. As for property taxes, living here means you will pay on the higher side. You can expect to pay at least $20,000 a year or more, depending upon the square footage, upgrades, and amenities the home offers.
