The American Hotel
Located in Downtown Freehold and within the American Hotel is the Market Yard Grille. Great atmosphere, service and food. During the warmer months outdoor seating is offered. They feature a contemporary menu with many Steak and Seafood choices. Their shrimp cocktail is one of the best I’ve ever had. This restaurant is one of the pricer ones within Freehold but a great choice for a special occasion or night out. You can also enjoy their bar which offers Happy Hour everyday 4 – 6 pm.

The Metropolitan Cafe
Modern upscale restaurant and also provides outdoor seating in the warmer seasons. With a variety of menu options you can order anything from sushi and salads to sea bass and steak. They have numerous appetizers and my all time favorite is the crispy calamari & shrimp. The Metro is more of a casual restaurant but it can get pricey. They offer some amazing cocktails & martinis making it a desirable place to relax and visit with friends.

The Lobster House
A casual no thrills BYOB atmosphere. It can get somewhat noisy and not much ambiance, but reasonably priced and kid friendly so it can be a good place to bring children for a dinner out. The owners geared this restaurant to offer the best price and quality of seafood while providing generous portion sizes. Located in West Freehold off Route 537.
618
A fairly new restaurant to the area – opened in November 2017 is 618. This upscale restaurant is located on Park Avenue & features a wine room in the center of the dining room. a stone fireplace & barn doors. 618 is a popular restaurant among locals and reservations are suggested. The diverse menu features “rustic American” dishes and they offer a large selection of wine and cocktails. The restaurant also holds many events.
